Jane’s Private Music Studio

Jane’s private music studio currently includes students from Windsor and Essex County who study voice, piano, and/or music rudiments. Students attend weekly private lessons and are encouraged to participate in music festivals, ORMTA music recitals, and Royal Conservatory of Music examinations.

Several of Jane’s students have pursued further study at the university level and professional music careers.

Teaching Philosophy
Jane believes that it is important for all students in whatever avenue of music they are studying to find their true and authentic voice; that is, the voice within them that makes and is their best music—including the music of who they are as a person. Music is able to touch upon and encourage that voice to be heard not only by the student but also by those who listen and respond to the students’ music. Jane also incorporates a number of the listening techniques of Dr. Alfred Tomatis learned from the Listening Centre in Toronto, and friendship and study with Lena Tomatis.
